Fun with Books – Practical Ways to Make Your Children Love Books

It is natural for children to love playing rather than reading. However, you can cultivate the habit of reading in your children by following simple tactics. It is a good idea to sit and read before children as the child psychology is to imitate the parents. You will find your children soon picking up books to read. At least pretend as if you love books and this will also create a positive wave and a true love for books among your children.
Choose interesting books with alluring pictures so that your kids will read again and again or at least open it to have a glance at the images. Place books everywhere, on the table in the drawer, in your car, near the mirror, on the sofa and let your children have a glance at them.
Get them a variety of books including stories, practical science, history, and magazines. Fun books and jokes attract children as they can share the jokes with their friends. It is a good idea to enroll them in the public library near by and go with them to spend some time in the library reading books. Also borrowing books from the library saves you a lot as well as urges your kids to complete the book before the due date.
Trying out recipes of cookbooks and other science models in the books you provide them will create a great interest among you children for books. Once they are really interested in reading you can provide them with classic novels and plays that will greatly improve their vocabulary, language, and personality.
